Pastor Efrain Arroyo-Rosado is the current Pastor at Iglesia Hoke Site – Monte de los Olivos in Raeford, North Carolina. He was born on November 14, 1972, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and was raised in the Catholic faith. In March of 1993, he married his wife, Noemi Arroyo, and in May of that same year, he joined the United States Army, where he served his country for 20 years, traveling to various countries and completing missions.
In 1998, Pastor Arroyo was baptized and officially accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in a Hispanic Assembly of God church. In 2001, he earned an Associate’s degree in General Studies from Central Texas University. During his military career, he attended and served in various churches of different denominations, where he led ministries for children, youth, and couples and families. While stationed in Hawaii, he attended a Foursquare Gospel church, where he helped establish and lead a Hispanic ministry within the church.
After returning to the mainland United States in 2005, he and his wife became pastors of a Children’s Ministry at a Hispanic Non-Denominational Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In 2006, he was deployed by the Army to Iraq, where he served as the Assistant Chaplain of the Spanish-speaking ministry, helping to save and baptize more than 10 US Army soldiers. Upon returning in 2007, he was assigned to Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, where he attended the Hispanic ministry of an International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), led the children’s ministry, and became a member of the church’s Board of Directors.
In 2009, he was reassigned to Fort Bragg (now Liberty), North Carolina, and the following year became a local minister with the IPHC at Ministerio Monte de los Olivos (MMDLO) church, where he also served as Associate Pastor and Co-Pastor from 2010 to 2022. In 2012, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the International Theological University. After retiring from the US Army in 2013, Reverend Efrain Arroyo-Rosado graduated Summa Cum Laude from Liberty University in Virginia in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Religion: Biblical and Theological Studies. In 2019, he also received a certificate of completion from the Jewish Prophetic Institute Navi Ha Shekinah for completing the Basic Prophetic School.
In 2022, Pastor Arroyo helped found MMDLO – Hoke Site, a satellite location of MMDLO, and he is currently the Senior Pastor of the church, alongside his wife Noemi (also a local minister with the IPHC), his family, and Co-Pastors Jeff and Ivannia Acevedo. In May 2023, he received his Ministerial License from the IPHC – North Carolina. He also currently serves as a Senior member of the Board at MMDLO.
Pastor Arroyo has been married to Noemi for 31 years and is the father of 3 sons and 2 daughters, and the grandfather of 4, with one more on the way. He is also the caretaker of his father, Efrain Arroyo-Fresse.
